Screenshot editing

Screenshot rendering and image export happen in your browser. The editor does not need to upload your conversation to our application server to generate a screenshot, and we do not provide a cloud archive of your conversations. Download any work you want to keep before leaving or refreshing the page.

Chat text kept at download

When you download a chat screenshot, the editor sends us the text of that chat: participant names, message text, message types, timestamps and delivery states, together with the platform, the device frame and theme, your country, an anonymous visitor identifier and, if you are signed in, your account. We do not receive the image, and photos or other uploads never leave your browser. We use these samples to understand what kinds of screenshots people make and to improve the editors, and we delete them 30 days after the download. Do not put confidential information or real people's private details into a chat you download.

Local rendering does not mean that the entire website collects no information. Account, payment, support, and analytics data are described below. If you include content in a feedback submission, email, or misuse report, you are sharing that content with us. Do not enter confidential information or personal information you are not authorized to use.

Information we receive

Account information

If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile-image URL where supplied. We use this information to identify your account, maintain your session, and associate purchases and feedback with you.

Payments and access

When you purchase access, we send account and plan information to Dodo Payments to create checkout. We store payment references, amounts and currencies where supplied, and plan, subscription, and entitlement information so we can provide paid access and handle billing. Payment details entered into hosted checkout are handled by the payment provider rather than stored as card details in our application database.

Feedback, support, and reports

We receive information you choose to submit, including feedback text, its category and context, account details associated with a submission, correspondence, and information in misuse or privacy reports. Provide only what is necessary to help us respond.

Website usage

The website includes Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Vercel Analytics. These services may process usage and device information such as page visits, interactions, browser details, referrers, and approximate location. Clarity supports heatmaps and session recordings; what it collects depends on its configuration and masking. Browser-based image generation should not be understood as a guarantee that analytics cannot observe page content or interactions.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to run the service, authenticate users, provide purchased access, process billing, respond to requests, investigate misuse, maintain security, and understand website usage. Relevant information is processed by providers supporting hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, and communications.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or where lawfully necessary to protect people, the service, or legal rights. This does not mean that we keep a copy of every screenshot or can retrieve images downloaded to a user's device.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their practices and any applicable additional terms are described in their policies: Google, Microsoft, Vercel, and Dodo Payments.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies to support sign-in and keep your session active. A session cookie can last up to 60 days; signing out clears the application's session cookie. The site also uses browser storage for interface preferences such as whether a feedback prompt has already been shown and whether the dashboard disclaimer has been acknowledged in the current tab session. Analytics services may use their own cookies or similar identifiers.

You can manage cookies and storage through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working. For analytics controls, consult your browser and the relevant provider's privacy information.

Retention and security

Account, billing, feedback, and correspondence records may be retained for the purposes described above, including access management, support, security, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and purpose; contact us about a particular record or a deletion request.

No website, transmission method, or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. Use a secure device, protect your account, and avoid including sensitive information in mockups or unnecessary details in support messages.

Your choices and requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have rights to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent or to complain to a relevant supervisory authority.

Use the privacy channel on our contact page to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and explain any legal reason for retaining particular records. We cannot retrieve or delete downloaded screenshots from someone else's device or remove copies hosted by unrelated websites.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can assess the report and take appropriate action.

Policy updates and responsible use

Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated date. Any additional notice required by applicable law will be provided. Questions can be sent through our contact page.
